French manufacturer Renault unveiled the third generation Megane in 2008, with the first concept model presented to the general public at the Geneva Auto Show. More importantly, Renault says the new Megane will be available in no less than six different models, each of them customized and configured depending to the target market.

In addition, the Megane is set to reach non-European markets in 2009, but technical equipment will vary according to local conditions. However, the six European models will be manufactured by the Palencia, Spain and Douai, France Renault plants, with the first vehicle scheduled to arrive into authorized dealers in mid-2009.
