Hello, I'd suggest installing the previous device drivers in the Compatibility Wizard. Remove that hardware device in Device Manager, right-click on the driver executable/installer file and select the Compatibility tab; click the checkbox before Run this program in Compatibility mode for option and select Windows Vista in the list-down box; then try installing the device driver. In addition, you can use the Windows XP driver for testing. If the problem still persists, please understand that Windows 7 is a new operating system (only the beta version) and whole driverstore has been reprogrammed; some old driver is not compatible with new OS. I suggest that you should wait for another period of time till the retail version is released and push the vendor company to upgrade their device driver.

Thanks for your time and understanding! Hi Kayleb, seeing your post and in the spirit of BETA testing.I had a similar card in an old w2k system, so I shut it down pulled out the wnic.put it in this system.found new hardware at boot.disabled my onboard NIC.installed the XP drivers for the 'Atheros Communications Inc AR5212 802.11a/b/g Wireless Adapter ' and as you can see it worked without any hassels:-) drivers packages used.sorry cant remember where I got them. Kayleb, I'm using the MS provided 'Atheros Wireless Adapter' driver that comes with Windows.

You can install this driver manually by right clicking on the network card in Device Manager, then selecting 'Update Driver Software'. Then select 'Browse My Computer for Driver Software', then select 'Let me pick.' Once you do this, you'll be presented with a frame (box) that lets you pick the Manufacturer. Scroll down this list until you get to Atheros Communications Inc - highlight that manufacturer then you'll see a list of devices in the right hand pane. Scroll down that list until you see 'Atheros Wireless Adapter' and select it. You'll be presented with a box that says this isn't the right driver, ignore this and go ahead with the update, it'll install the driver and you should be in business.

You'll see the Atheros Network Adapter under device manager. Should work fine.

Airlink101 Awlh4030 Vista Driver Windows 7

Airlink101

I know it does for me. I also had to do this same thing under Vista, as the card I've got is rather old. I recommend that you just uninstall the drivers and reinstall them again from this link: Save the driver to the desktop and when it finishes downloading, open the file and install the drivers. AirLink101 states that the original drivers that work for XP work flawlessly for Vista, which I'm pretty sure these are, and anything drivers that work in Vista work in 7.

If this does not work, try locating the original CD that came with it and download the drivers from that. Hope this helps!
