DANIEL SANCHEZ (Bla Bla) The Dutch-Spannish Daniel Sanchez is Dj/Producer, Label boss and promotor in one. If the dance, or better, techno scene can be compared with a man’s life, Sanchez saw this former child rising up. He started creating sounds since he was thirteen and contributed to the development of Amsterdam as the dance capital of the world. Nowadays he has an international career, an own label and an ambition to bring music to every place in the world. From the year 2007 minimal techno music was conquering the clubs of Amsterdam. The young Sanchez saw this trend and started to throw legal and illegal parties. Especially the illegal ones in the raw, north of Amsterdam and in a ship called Stubnitz are still renown in the Dutch scene.

Kerri Chandler – ‘Pong’. DJ sets were a rarity. Kerri Chandler – Lovin You (Kaoz Drum) (King Street) Super_Collider.

This was also the year Marco Carola and Loco Dice made a remix of his track ‘mumbling yeah’, which became an underground world hit. These successes were one of the reasons Sanchez started his own monthly club night called Bla Bla in 2008 at Studio 80 Amsterdam. He invited a lot of international dj’s for the first time in Amsterdam, for example Barem, Andre Oliva and Mathias Kaden. Because these nights were successful he set up the label Bla Bla in 2009. This label teamed up with El Mundo & Satori, Mulder, and Bas Amro and had a great influence in the scene.

Individually he was also developing and released his first album on the Remote Area label called Untitled Concept. 2010 was an even busier year with many national but also international gigs.

Minimal Techno was more popular than ever and so were the DJ’s. By now he released tracks on the labels Remote Area, Plus8(Richie Hawtin) Saved Records By Nic Fancuilli, Suara and more. Apart from music itself he had (and still has) a great interest in the technical developments of the field, and changed his gear every year. Always up for new musical adventures in 2010 he launched the electronic-dub sub label of Bla Bla: Be Real. At the end of the year he created a minimalistic- dub album called Cirkel, which he released, of course, on his own label Bla Bla. In 2011 he signed a three-year contract with Sensation for the Sensation 3 Year World Tour, where his focus lay on techno. With them he travelled from North- to South- America, Asia and Europe where he created twelve successful shows.

Meeting many new, inspiring people he focuses even more on his international aspirations. Since Sanchez started he played seven times for Awakenings, also seven times for Welcome to the Future Festival, A day at the Park Festival and two times for Time Warp. In 2014 the label Bla Bla celebrates its fifth birthday. One of its presents is that after two years Sanchez is releasing on vinyl again. He established a new label called Cachai with his South American partner. Just like the music scene, Sanchez is always evolving.

VALENTINO KANZYANI (JESUS LOVED YOU / CADENZA Slovenia) Valentino Kanzyani is a founding father of Slovenian techno and has been involved in the country’s dance scene since the mid 1990s. A celebrated DJ first and foremost, Valentino built a solid reputation for himself whilst he was resident spinner of Ambasada Gavioli, one of Slovenia’s most famous clubs. His fame grew when he started spinning on three turntables as standard.

Joining forces with fellow countryman and techno champion Umek, Valentino saw his first release in 1999 under the moniker Recycled Loops. Due to the success of their joint EPs, Valentino Kanzyani and Umek set up Recycled Loops as a record label, which further helped establish Valentino as a major player in Eastern Europe’s techno scene.

A number of world tours, festival appearances and big club gigs followed. Whilst Valentino’s sound has evolved over the years, he is committed to protecting the art of the DJ with real integrity. Valentino set up his label Jesus Loved You in 2005, for instance, just as digital downloading was becoming the main dissemination channel for the music industry. Instead of joining the trend, Valentino decided to release his label’s music mainly on vinyl as a way to support the true original format of the DJ.

And it is his love for vinyl that has seen him flourish today, to become one of most respected underground vinyl djs around. You can find similar credibility in Valentino’s Ibiza-based party project: Next Wave. Set up in 2011 as a way to support the less commercial side of club music on the island, the Next Wave parties have become a resounding success in 2012.

The cream of underground house and techno DJs have played for Valentino at Next Wave including many of Romania’s new breed of vinyl DJs, and occasionally, masters of the scene like Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano have played extended sets at Next Wave.The upcoming 2013 season is very promising as well including acts such as Soul Capsule, Sonja Moonear, Primiesku live, Sammy Dee, Fumiya Tanaka, Thomas Melchior live, Cabanne & Margaret Dygas just to name a few Be prepared for an overindulgence of incredible music this year! At the age of 17, she reaches the shores of club music, through London, Spain and Germany where she discovered the essence of underground dance music and sharpened her skills before coming to the forefront of the scene.

In 2008 she started to play at Tenax club in Florence and it was the starting point for her to play at the best clubs all over Italy, being on the same bill as many international djs. She has been a resident of the legendary party Ultrabeat at Goa club in Rome and the well-know Nobody’s perfect party at Tenax club in Florence since 2010, where she proved to be capable of delivering the best sets from warm-up to peak time. Summer 2012 she took part of Marco Carola’s widely acclaimed “Music On” party at Amnesia Ibiza, and carried on to Europe and the USA over the winter, playing alongside Marco Carola. Following this first edition’s success, she will be joining the “Music On” family again in Ibiza during summer 2013. For the past two years. Nils frahm has been building a brand new studio in berlin to make his 7th studio album titled all melody. Which will be released on january 26th. 2018 via erased tapes.

Rezzs involvement in the toronto scene helped grow her gritty style. Events like bassmentality and older shows at the legendary guverment helped shape not only rezz.
